Yvon Hubert is probably best know as the musically-inclined "hip" priest who was involved with Quebec rock-gods Offenbach and their psyched out Gregorian "mass of the dead" (Saint-Chrone de Néant).

The same hip priest also recorded 4 very obscure Christian Psych-Folk-Rock (pop-psychédelique chrétienne) liturgic concept albums around the same time. All four are awesome collaborations with François Dompierre, and a host of Quebec rockers/musicians.

This is his 4th long play, released on the obscure and short-lived Cogito label. Similar in concept to the much better known "Mass In F Minor" and "Release Of An Oath" by the Electric Prunes, ....although here, Hubert's folky baritone voice stands out, nicely complimenting Dompierre's symphonic synths, Leduc's swirling organ and the majestic choir......while everything meshes with occasional exploding guitars, tablas, sax and drums, making this a Xian popsike obscurity that remains criminally unknown outside of Quebec.

** One track from this LP ("Profétie") is included on Patrimoine PQ's must-have "Résurrection" compilation (FLAC edition), which features the most obscure Xian-Psych-Folk-Rock recordings from Quebec artists, like Agapè (Le Troisieme Seuil) and Offenbach (Saint-Chrone).
