Issued in early 1988, one track was a radical synth-heavy re-working of The Rolling Stones’ song As Tears Go By. The other songs were Life Is Elsewhere, Hide, Strange Gods and Towards The Shore. All five of the E.P.’s songs were performed live at the time and all five have been re-arranged and re-recorded over the last 18 months, with four of the songs scheduled to be on Plenty’s 2018 debut album It Could Be Home.
For reasons best known to the band members' psychiatrists, this particular Plenty E.P. was called Prattle (Sultry Songs For Swingin’ Celibates).
Towards The Shore was played live by Tim Bowness and Peter Chilvers on several occasions and ended up - in an extended form - on the 2011 Slow Electric album (Bowness/Chilvers in collaboration with Estonian Jazz duo UMA
