The remastering job done on these tracks is terrible. In their original release on John Stanford - Deep Space, they were soft, smooth, haunting, hypnotic, and incredible. Here they are louder, harsher, the drums were given unwarranted prominence in the foreground, and the beautiful sweeping synths were moved into the background.

There are 4 new tracks here which is a nice bonus and perhaps makes it worth owning this release, but I would recommend "Deep Space" for the others.
