Thanks to the massive commercial remix by Yomanda, this track got slated by anyone and everyone. With good reason, the Yomanda remix is a low point in the history of Hard Dance.

However, before Incentive Records (UK) insisted on destroying the credibility with the aforementioned remix (and hammering said mix on every MTV style channel constantly), this original release stood proud.

While the b-side "More Mix" is funky and quirky (imagine the Timo Maas remix of Dooms Night combined with Mr. Oizo's Flat Beat), it is the main A-side that grabs the attention.

This, the "Mas Mix", was released roughly around the same time as Mauro Picotto's Lizard. It has a very similar vibe (only without the cheesy rip-off of Binary Finary's melody).

A heavy off-beat bass menacingly marches, and quickly a snare pattern emerges which only adds to the marching rhythm. The horrible ring tone that Yomanda included in his remix is nowhere to be found here. What Mario Più actually originally did was include the interference feedback that you get when you hold your mobile too close to speakers. This is put over the heavy percussion, and layered into an irresistible funky rhythm just over the three minute mark.

Listening back to this mix it's sad to know it's virtually unknown due to the bad reputation it got through no fault of its own.

Then again, it's always nice to have secret weapons...
