Nice to see some good reviews here! I wrote and produced the demos at 16 then re-produced them with Grant Nelson (Wishdokta) at 17. It was my first record ever and it's good to know it made people happy! Rachel James (pka Dave B) #FirstTransgenderDanceArtist
big respect to you.. i'm djing on NYE this year at a warehouse party tha's really oriented towards being inclusive to the queer and trans community, i already had deep as fuck in my bag!
If you a big fan of the 80s you will love to own this record, i purchased it just for the B1 Ultracore - Ultravox "Vienna. Vienna came out in 1981, and what a hit it was, no wonder it got the sample treatment. shame this label didn't go further, but its a top release. 9/10.
3 very different tunes here. Deep as fuck is a nice, bouncy 4:4 hardcore affair, which wouldn't sit too badly in a '95 set. The Enya-sampling tune is the standard amen-hardcore of the time & could be forgiven for bring mistaken as a Naughty Naughty tune. The Ultravox 1 probably used to be my least favourite when I got this originally, I thought it was a bit cheesy (not that the rest aren't haha) but the dark atmospheres and amens really make up for it.
I own this, but have NO idea why it's selling for as much as it is.
probable because it was on a few old tapes and the fact wishdokta made it....?
