Beloved (US) - Failure On Mp3

I was too hard on "Failure On" in my previous opinion. This is a *decent* Christian post-hardcore record, with only a few dead spots in songs like "Rise and Fall" and "Inner Pattern." Otherwise they have at least one good riff apiece, and several like "Failure On My Lips," "Aimless Endeavor," "Defect From Decay" and "Death to Traitors" are totally great or almost so. I definitely had to get used to it because it's REALLY loud (it doesn't hit 2010's levels of compression, but we should be thankful that it wasn't released a few years later). Give it a few chances, even if it plods in parts.

Beloved (US) is one of those "gone too soon" bands that everyone needs to know about. With Failure On, sadly being their only full-length album, it has become a precious gem in my collection. So much so, that I always buy any copies I come across, to either gift to a friend I know will appreciate it, or to try and make it available at cost for any fans here on discogs. Regrettably, I was late becoming aware of the existence of their vinyl releases so I do not have any copies there, and they have become to rich for my wallet. The sound is dynamic as Beloved (US) is one of the best bands at blending the melodic singing with those guttural screaming accents. And the visuals are great with Asterik Studios doing another great job with the art and design. I cannot say enough good things about this album, it is just beautiful in every way! So if you don't have it, seek it out! And if you have a vinyl copy you want to give away, give a brother a call!... I mean me it, please give me a call ;)
